Bakewell Blanket

This is the second Bakewell Blanket that I've made so far and I must admit that I love everything about it. The pattern, the yarn, the finished blanket. Really just the whole process. I made my first Bakewell blanket back in February. It was my holiday project and made using Scheepjes Whirl in the Sherbet Rainbow colourway, which I must admit looked spectacular. I gave that blanket to a very special little girl at the end of my holiday, but unfortunately didn't have time for photos. This time I've used Scheepjes Whirl in the Blueberry Bambam colourway, which is also beautiful. This one was made for a very special little boy. Aren't the diamonds with the little bobbles inside wonderful? And it's so exciting waiting for that subtle colour change to come.  It's hard to believe that one ball of Swirl can make a perfect size blanket for a baby. It's so light and soft and squishy.
