HELLO & WELCOME

This is me with my much loved Brahman cow, Ginger, she was one of a few poddies that I hand reared in 2011 and is still very friendly today.

As you can see I live and work on a cattle station in Queensland, Australia. I love my job and everything that it entails, but most especially the cattle.

I am a huge animal lover. 

These are my two girls Jessie and Sally.

I was born and raised in North East England, I came to Australia 10 years ago and met and fell in love with my lovely husband. It was a huge culture change but I have embraced it with open arms. Home really is where the heart is.

During my spare time I love to play in the garden, cook and bake and especially try out new recipes. I'm very much a home style cook and more often than not reach for the old CWA cookbooks. Oh! and the slow cooker gets a good workout during winter.

About three years ago I picked up the crochet hook for the first time since childhood. Now, more days than not I have a project on the hook and piles of yarn stashed all around the house. My husband just shakes his head and grins when my granny squares start to take over the coffee table.

I suppose the whole point of this blog for me is to record my projects. It lets me be creative while recording the things that I am really proud to have made. I can't wait to look back at this 10 years down the track to see how far I've come and how much I've been able to achieve.
